Our Wisconsin Thanksgiving

We are having a fabulous time in Wisconsin! Harper was SUCH a good boy on both of the flights over here. Below is a pic of Harper watching the "AINES!" (planes), walking on a moving sidewalk with Daddy, and modeling his new backpack (best feature of this backpack is the looooong strap for Mom-Mom and Dada to keep him close!). We hope the return flight goes as smoothly as this one did!!!

(sorry, pics taken with my phone...)

One of Harper's favorite activities, going on walks, is a LOT different here in Wisconsin!!! It's been in the 20s, so LOTS of bundling up happens before you go outside. Seeing Harper do his Harper Trot, with all that extra clothing, is hilarious. He almost lost his balance a few times because of the extra weight.

(sorry, pics taken with my phone...again.)

Tuli had a guitar lesson on Monday with a friend of KJ's. He's been practicing on a borrowed guitar, and of course, Harper is interested in anything his Daddy is doing.

We've been talking about getting Harper a little guitar, so Gamma KJ got him one!!! It's bright green, and perfectly Harper-sized. Yay for Gamma KJ!!!

(Father/Son jam session!)

(little hands for a little guitar!)

Other things going on...

Spaghetti Dinner with friends

Playing with neighborhood kids (above is Alden, 8 years old)

Daddy fixing things around Gamma KJ's house

Lots of running around and PLAYING!!!

Lots of Quality Time with Gamma KJ

Harper's Uncle Ari is flying in later today, so we are having our Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow, at a neighbor's house. The neighbor has a 2 year old daughter, Lucy, who Harper has already played with a couple of times, so we are all looking forward to a great day!!! Mom-Mom and Dada have been getting to sleep in, and we are both grateful to be with family, in a warm house, and surrounded by love on our vacation!

Harpzilla, the Future Pop Star

I bought Harper (....or maybe Grammie did...) a cheap, plastic microphone. He has been diligently practicing for his American Idol audition in 15 years.

Harper Decorates His Bedroom Window

I want a "Coolest Mom" Award. I let Harper stand on his dresser, I gave him a black Glass Chalk Marker....and I let him "decorate" his bedroom window. His excitement rivals that of the chocolate ice cream incident.

Hilarious, right?

Harper thought so too. Here is the video of Harper watching his own video.

(Yes, he's eating, and has a mouthful of food.)

I'm glad he understands how important it is to be able to laugh at ourselves =)

Mr. Chatterbox

I thought I'd post a blog listing all of the words that Harper now says. I will try to get video of it at some point, but his attention span is short, and he's not always willing to

He can also point out all of his body parts if you ask him.

He is very observant, and he has incredible eye-sight. He will point at a steam-trail that a jet has left waaaaay up in the sky, and say "Aine!" (plane). He will find the moon/sun in the sky and point it out to you.

Harper Lightyear

Well, this is most likely the last Halloween that Harper won't care/know what trick-or-treating is...but he sure had fun dressing up as his FAVORITE toy ever - Buzz Lightyear!!! Instead of wearing his costume trick-or-treating, he got to wear it to a pumpkin carving party at Alice's house, to a women's meeting, to Daddy's work, and then to Grammie and Quampa's house. I know I am biased, but I must say he was the cutest Buzz ever =)

Walk? Walk? Walk? Waaaallllkkkkk???!!!

I've never known a child who loved going for walks more than Harper. And I don't mean a walk where strollers are involved. He stands at the door, saying "Walk?" literally around 20 times each day. (Which is why we REALLY need to get some rainboots for our entire family...)Harper just LOVES going for walks around the neighborhood. Here is a video of his favorite mailbox on our route...he gets SO excited to point out the duck sticker whenever we walk by.

Also, here are some pictures to highlight some of Harper's favorite parts on these "walks."

Checking out all of the Halloween decorations in our neighborhood. Another word that we hear 100 times each day is "ghost!"

Stopping to smell the roses. He also likes to point at the thorns and say "Ow!"

Stopping at all the "oops" (hoops) to shoot some baskets. If we accidentally forget to bring a ball on our walk, we are in trouble!

...and Harper RUNS EVERYWHERE!!!!!

I love going on walks with this silly guy!

Harper's Quack Hat

Looky, looky what I crocheted for Harper...

(I'm making TONS of these, and I hope to sell some!!!)
